Following current government guidelines, ALL appointments will be held over the phone or online video call (via zoom). Parachute hope to resume in practice one to one sessions once the appropriate measures are in place.

All referrals are completed online. Details you provide in the forms are confidential and all information is stored in accordance with Data Protection Act (2018).

Free Phone Consultation

 

After submitting a referral, you will be contacted by our therapist for your phone consultation.Here you will be able to share some of what’s going on for you and ask any questions that you may have relating to therapy.

Your phone consultation will take place on a weekday (between 9am-10am or 4pm-5pm). A consultation is up to 15 minutes.

In Person / Telephone / Online


If you are happy to proceed, you can then book your  first session!

A confirmation email is sent containing your appointment details and a book and pay link. This email will be sent after each session that follows. A therapy session is up to 1 hour.

Phone

For phone sessions, please select a comfortable location where you are able to speak freely and least likely to be disturbed. For example, a room within your residence or a parked vehicle. Please ensure that your mobile device ha enough battery life for a 1 hour session (at least 40%).

What should I expect?

Your first session is a warm and welcoming experience. It gives you the privacy to discuss what’s going on for you. It provides you the opportunity to share your story in greater detail. Sharing your experience allows the therapist to understand your own unique perspective. After discussing your concerns, the therapist works with you to outline a course of therapy that suits you. This includes: the nature of therapy, how it works, aims and expectations, as well as your appointment times. 

Online

For online sessions, a zoom meeting link will be sent to your email. Before joining, check that your camera and microphone are working and that you have a stable WiFi or Data connection. Please ensure that your smart device has enough battery life for a 1 hour session (at least 50%).
